I am not certain the date of this painting but would guess mid-to-late 19th century

The burlap is shedding a bit and the red thread on one arm has come a bit unravelled

and wonderfully tell the story of their construction from scraps of wood and and bits of woven trim for their hangers

I believe this piece is specifically by Wilhelm Kagel Jr

Florida and at art shows and galleries throughout the eastern United States and Canada

Gorgeous Heavy 20 inch Fat Iron Chain spiral I am not certain theThis is not my typical sort of find, but this old iron chain is simply gorgeous, and I could not not bring it home with me. It weighs about 3 1 2 pounds, and the iron is a really rich charcoal black, in spectacular condition; to me, it reads as pure sculpture. It's definitely got age, showing some wear where the links overlap, just right. I'm not sure what its original use would have been, but certainly it would hold a great weight. Just shy of 20"
