Crystal Palace, London mb-code BK004521 'Paradise and the Peri'Crystal Palace, London, 20th Century. Designed by Sir Joseph Paxton, the Crystal Palace was originally built in Hyde Park to house the Great Exhibition of 1851. The structure was dismantled and relocated to Sydenham in 1854, where is stood until totally destroyed by a fire in 1936.
