Description
On the plus side there is good vibrancy and detail to the delicious middle weight flavors that possess slightly better fruit/tannin balance though the finish is noticeably warm
Subtle minerality with excellent structure
It shows thick texture and richness with some pretty floral and raspberry notes and cherry sweetness on the close
An herbal tea top note is present on the cool
Tasted at the domaine in April 2022
Jean-Marc Pavelot, Corton Charlemagne Blanc other_regions On the plus side thereModerate wood influence is present on the very fresh aromas of Granny Smith apples, citrus confit, white flower and an interesting hint of marmalade. There is even better volume as well as more evident minerality on the lingering and more complex finale where a touch of sweetness emerges that, for me at least, detracts from the overall appeal. To be sure, this is perfectly good, but it would be fair to observe that its not a classic rendition.
