I couldn't resist this young child holding tight to the leash of their toy dog, even while seeming themselves about to topple over! As with antique portraits of girls and their dolls, I find photographs of children in focused conversation with their toys wonderful embodiments of the vividness of as yet un repressed imagination. 5 1
