His dress is relatively plain, apparently in Commonwealth style. He wears a long brown coat, white gloves and white square collar. A sash is worn across the body from his right shoulder and a sword hilt is visible at the left hip, the hand resting lightly above this. His right hand holds a silver cane with a bone or ivory handle.
