Description
The 2004 Brut Cristal has put on quite a bit of weight since I first tasted it earlier this year
acidity and alcohol
The 2011 Barolo Pira Vecchie Viti is deep
The 2017 is no exception
softer-styled Galatrona was delicious to drink from day one but hasn’t lost any of its verve
Niepoort, Vintage other_regions The 2004 Brut Cristal hasRuby purple, a bit more saturated than the Secundum. Brooding aromas of crushed black fruits, licorice and spices. Very ripe, thick and dense, with compelling sweetness of fruit. Bright, integrated acids give this very lush, fleshy, palate coating wine excellent tensile strength. Finishes impressively long and bright, with finely grained, mouthdusting tannins. This has a terrific kernel of fruit and a three dimensional palate feel. Stephen Tanzer
