The only challenge to this theory is that I believe those "Bon Ton" cameras produced four simultaneous images using only one shot

I've seen a few other dogs

and this little imperfection just adds to what I read as a sense of anxious eagerness and vulnerability

--and I especially love the hand-drawn elements in this one

creating a satisfying geometry

Wonderful Little Figure in Furry Costume with Removable Mask Danish ceramics The only challenge to thisA completely marvelous little thing which it took me dropping on the floor (no damage!) to realize is a little man in furry creature costume, with his head covering coming off to reveal his face. Brilliant! And so fun. Painted papier mache plus what I believe is wool fleece. This gives me total joy. 3 7 16" t x 2 1 8" w and in good condition. Vintage Mexican I am guessing. A few small dings to his face, which looks a bit bloodied just right.
