Very Naive Early 19th Century Folk Art Miniature Portrait of Girl with Coral Necklace (and Devil Horns!) mourning daguerreotype and stuffed with what II've called this one "devil girl" since I found her last spring, with those two small barrettes in her hair poking up like little horns. (And the red of her coral necklace for me only advances that sense of devilishness!) I admire lots of fine early 19th century portrait miniatures, but of course it would be a very very naive one like this that would compel me to bring it home. I think she's got a whole lot of life and spirit in her, and a radiance
