No idea what this was used to make
this was an art form practiced largely by young women
I love the femininity of this especially happy looking little handmade Humpty Dumpty doll
The cards are in great shape but the box--which measures 3 3/4" wide x 1 3/4" deep x 2 1/2" tall--shows its age
with the legs forming a deliverate pattern) and plain silver everywhere else
Intricate 19th C. Bellows Shaped Bone Pin Keep wax bacon No idea what this wasA pretty amazing little thing one would think for holding very special pins, and not too many of them! I found a similar one listed as Napoleonic prisoner of war, French c. 1830s, but I don't actually think it is that; I would guess Victorian mid 19th c. Quite finely made whatever the case, with hand stitching holding the two carved bone faces together, with a bit of stuffing covered in red fabric in between. 2 5 8" l x 1" w x 7 16" d. Good condition,
