The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Kiatra Estate turned out every bit as magical as I had hoped

rich and full-bodied flavors that possess good dry extract levels and a mouth coating finish that possesses excellent phenolic maturity

This delivers way better fruit complexity than the monolith Napa Cabernet cliché

less demonstrative than bottles encountered previously and less “sexier”

There is excellent punch to the well delineated if slightly angular medium bodied flavors that conclude in a moderately austere and slightly rustic finale. This will need a few years to hopefully add body and round out and my projected range offers the benefit of the doubt that the wine will evolve in that direction.
