2020 | Luigi Tecce Aglianico "Poliphemo Vecchie Vigne R20" | Campania | Italy Arrigo and brings out subtle mineralCentenarian vine Aglianico from a cult Taurasi grower his most archaic, profound old vine masterpiece. Luigi Tecce works almost alone in Paternopoli, high in Taurasi (Campania), making some of Italy's most soulful Aglianico. This is his old vine "Poliphemo Vecchie Vigne" bottling from 100+ year old, head trained vine trees on sand, limestone and Vesuvian pumice, fermented in open chestnut vats and aged in large botti. The "R20" marks the 2020 release.
