Founder of YOKKOYAMA HAT MARKET. During his childhood, the only thing he remembers is skateboarding. He moved to the U. S. for a language study program, then returned to Japan to complete university. Upon going back to the U. S., he became inspired to pursue hat making. In 2008, he became the first Japanese recipient of the Hat Designer of the Year award.
